7 Weeks - Yeah - Princess's Rash is gone! Oh no- Mom's IBS is back

Princess is 7 weeks old today! It is April and Spring Break so you would think it would be warm, but we have had snow storms the last couple days so I decided to dress Princess up in this adorable sweater made by a teacher a Coach's school for her 7 week picture.

Starboy took this picture while I was holding Princess and getting her to smile. He was so proud. He is home for Spring Break. He really does love his baby sister. Sometimes I get nervous when he carries her around, but I know that it is good to allow him to help, and he is 7 and quite strong.

She has had a lot of smiles for people this week, which has been fun. Below is Princess with her Grandma (Coach's Mom)!

It is fun to see her personality come out. Her rashes are completely gone thanks to the extreme diet I have gone on. I took her to be allergy tested using Electral Dermal Screening (EDS). We found out she was in fact allergic to my milk. Each time I would feed her she would break out, she had blisters on her ears and it was so sad. She has an allergy to Caffeic Acid which is in all fruits and many sweet veggies like tomato's, carrots, beets etc.. So I have gone on a strict diet for the last two weeks not eating any of these things. Which is very very hard for me because fruits and veggies are my life. I haven't even taken my Juice Plus, which I have taken faithfully for 8 years. Princess is taking homeopathic drops to desensitize her allergy and hopefully she will not have a problem with caffeic acid forever. (We are hoping no more than 6 weeks, I will go in and retest in 1 month). Within just a couple days of going on the diet and starting the homeopathic, the rash began to clear up, and now two weeks later her skin looks great. It is wonderful to feed her and not watch her whole face turn red and swell while she's eating. It was a hard thing to watch.

The real problem is that my IBS has returned since I am not eating my regular diet of lots of fruits and veggies and taking my Juice Plus. I have been so constipated and bloated that last night I was in tears from the pain. It had been over 7 years since I had such horrible IBS pain. My change of diet and Juice Plus had kept my body regular and my symptoms gone. I can't believe the pain. I think it is worse than labor. Mostly because your not getting a baby at the end. I had forgotten how horrible IBS was, I went to urgent care a couple time due to the pain back in college before I was diagnosed. But the memory of the pain had kind of faded. IT IS EXCRUCIATING!! I know that the problem is that I have gone to eating mostly dairy, meat, and grains (a recipe for constipation) The veggies I can eat I don't commonly buy and they are more expensive, so I haven't been eating as many as I should. Things like leeks, kale, asparagus, squash etc. But after yesterday I am going to try and pick up as many of these caffeic acid free veggies and eat them constantly and cut out as much of the dairy and grains for a few days till my system regulates. I also started taking my veggie juice plus since it only has a few things in it she can't have. I need to find a happy medium. I don't want my baby's rashes to return, but I can't live the next 4 weeks doubled over either.

Hopefully her rashes will stay at bay and I can monitor my IBS with the caffeic free veggies and a lot more water. We will see. She is worth it!!
