6 Weeks

Princess is 6 weeks old today. Wow time is passing fast. She had her 6 week check up with the Midwife on Wednesday. What a wonderful woman. Suzanne was amazing to work with and if I have another baby ever and am in the area I will definitely invite her to be my midwife again. Princess weighed 11 lb 12 oz and was 24 inches long. She is growing so quickly!!

Everyone loves to hold Princess, she has a real calming effect. Her Aunts come and hold her as often as they can. Daddy loves to hold her from the time he gets home till bedtime and only gives her to me when she is hungry. I am happy to hold her all day long!! (I do put her down when she is resting so I can get other things done, but I enjoy holding her a lot also.

She is beginning to smile more and more though it is hard to get them on Camera. It is fun to listen to her noises as she begins to find her voice.

She loves bath time and it is fun to have her float in the water with me. We have tried showers a couple times and they are not her favorite.

She is becoming very good at Elimination Communication she has had no poopy diapers the last 2 days! and the 2 days before that she would only get a smear before letting us know she needed to go (by squirming and grunting) and then she will eliminate over the toilet or sink. We are moving to the toilet now and she is getting used to that. It's really amazing how well it works and how fast she has picked up on not wanting to be poopy. We still catch and miss a lot of pee's, but since she urinates every 20-30 minutes it's hard to catch them all. She often has a dry diaper during the day and at night.

At a 1 1/2 months she is still just adorable and we love her so much!

5 Weeks Old

Princess is five weeks old today! She is smiling more often and her neck is getting a lot stronger. I had fun taking pictures of her today. It is snowing outside today so we dressed up quite warm. The blanket she is laying on was made by Coaches Grandma who is 96 years old. It was a gift at my baby shower.

READY...... SET.......

LIFT!!!!!

What a strong happy baby girl!! Her eyes are getting more blueish these days. I like to say they look like those steelie marbles because they are often a silverish grey-blue color. She was very good about errands this week. We don't have a infant car seat that comes out of the car. We decided to get the car seat that goes from infant all the way to 8 yr old booster. So each time we go someplace I take her out of the carseat and put her in the Moby Wrap that I made. She almost always stays asleep even with being taken in and out multiple times. She might stir a little, but I think the walking in the wrap reminds her of being in the womb, and the vibrations of the car also put her to sleep. We have done errands 3 mornings this week and all three times she was an angel and slept through each stop. by the time we get home she is ready to eat, be changed, and then play and stretch a bit. It works out quite well.
