51 Weeks

51 Weeks have flown by. My baby now looks and acts like a toddler. She has so much personality. Her favorite word is Uh-oh! Her hair gets a little lighter and more auburn each day and she got my green eyes, which just twinkle when she laughs.

She is constantly on the move and carries all kinds of things from one room to the other, making as many messes as she can.

She learned to undo ziplock this week and ended up with her snack all over he head!

This is the neighbor girl that is 3 years old. She loves to come up and play with Princess and watch the boys play basketball or football.

Princess LOVES outside, but isn't so sure about shoes. Since she started walking I have been trying to get her to wear shoes, but everytime I would put them on she would scream and tug at them. Finally last week, Starboy was out playing basketball with his friend. She was pointing at the door and wanted so badly to go outside. I brought her shoes out and said "You have to have shoes on" It took about 10 minutes, but finally she let me put them on. She went outside and was so happy to be out with the boys she didn't even mind the shoes.
Now she brings me her shoes and begs to have them put on so that she can play outside. She is one smart cookie.

Weeks 48, 49, 50?

Well the last few weeks have flown by. I don't even know what week we are actually on. But two weeks from Feb. 13 (This last Saturday) Princess has her birthday, and our first year will come to an end. So I am guessing we just passed week 50 since there are 52 weeks in a year. The reason I am so frazzled, forgetful, and behind is because Princess came down with RSV about 1 1/2 weeks ago and we had quite the sick baby. Luckily we stayed away from the hospital and with breathing treatments, nasal suction, pumpong and then feeding with a dropper for two days. We finally got over the worst part. Of course being so close to sick baby for that many days, and not getting much sleep caused myself and Coach to then get sick. Starboy also caught the cough and runny nose. So none of us have been very cheery this last week. But we are all slowly recovering. I decided I should at least post a few videos that I've taken over the last few weeks (none while she was sick..to busy helping her breathe to think about pictures or video)

This picture just shows how she does not look like a baby anymore. She has definitely graduated to toddlerhood. Though I do miss her being an infant, I have to say that this stage is also a lot of fun. She is showing more personality everyday. She is quite spunky!

Going for a ride on a sunny (though still snowy day) We had spring fever!

She has gotten so fast..she loves to walk walk walk!

She loves the beat of music shaking those shoulders and booging. I believe dancing is going to be a favorite pass time of hers. I couldn't get her to dance standing for the camera, but boy is it cute.

47 Weeks 11 months

11 months OH SO CUTE!!

Loves to eat her veggies WHOLE

SCRIPTURE POWER!

I want to be a missionary now!

This is Sister Ritchie's granddaughter that we take to play group each week. This week play group was canceled because of the snow, so she came over to our house. She is 3 and loves to play with princess

It is hard to believe that this first year is almost over. Princess walks all over the house

and LOVES to make messes in every room. We adore her anyway.

Weeks 44-46 (blogging taking the back burner)

Wow, the weeks fly by when you have a baby that walks around the house making messes every place she goes. Her favorite thing to do is open cupboards and empty them, or unfold clean laundry, or empty the dirty dishes etc.. She also LOVES Kleenex boxes. It is just amazing how those things keep popping out just waiting to be pulled out! The following are a spattering of pictures and videos from the last 3 weeks. We have had a cold this week, but overall we are all doing well. Princess is usually taking naps in the car while I drive back and forth 45 minutes each way to the new house working on things there. Computer time is fewer and far between, but I will try to keep updated.

44 Weeks- Salt Lake Outing

(Starboy was having and outing with Grandma J. in Salt Lake,

so we took Princess out on the town for a bit)

Temple Visitor Center

45 Weeks

Jamming with Aunt Cindy's Cell Phone

OUT LIKE A LIGHT!

Trying to go from sitting to standing SOOO Big!

46 Weeks

Starboy has started practicing the Piano daily so of course Princess thinks she should also practice. She loves pounding the keys and making music.

YOGURT... YUMMY

I like to feed myself..mommy loads the spoon but I am in charge of getting it into my mouth.

Kleenex is FUN stuff.. especially when I rip it into tiny pieces and decorate the floor. Sometimes I eat it and Mommy has to come dig it out of my mouth (I don't like that part).

Spinning and talking, thats what I like to do! (tikka tikka tikka is her new favorite word/sound, we think she is copying tickle tickle, but who knows for sure)

Learning to walk

I am so BIG....I can walk!

January 2, 2010- Temple Square

Princess took her first steps while on an outing with Coach and I to Temple Square. These weren't her very first, but it was the most that day 9 itty bitty steps. Sorry it's sideways..

.

January 10, 2010 -

Walked across the whole room at Grandma H's. I didn't have the camera so I took this at home later in the evening. No more fear off she goes. My baby girl is a toddler....it makes me a little sad, but mostly happy to see her progressing so well

42 Weeks

Princess is 42 Weeks old and her chicken pox are almost healed. She loves all of the Christmas Decorations especially her stocking which I found at DI for $1 it is a reindeer.

Starboy has his Santa stocking from last year. I had bought a few different stockings this year and we let him choose which one he wanted. He liked his Santa.

We got out Grandma and Grandpa S's rocking chair for princess. She thinks it is pretty cool and it is just her perfect size. she ooh and aahs when I sit her in the chair, then she wants to get out and rock it while no one is sitting in it.

Princess still loves books. She is very interested in pictures and turning pages. Board books are great for this...she has gotten a hold of some regular books and torn a few pages, so we are trying to keep a lot more board books around for her to look at, and the others out of reach.

As you can see she is MUCH happier, and her chicken pox are healing YEAH!!
Mom is very relieved.

Princess is getting better and better at walking. Before long my baby will be a toddler and running around the house. Only 10 more weeks till her first year is over.. I can't believe how fast time has gone.

Another new trick this week is spinning the chair in circles. Who needs TV when you have this kind of creative entertainment. What fun!

41 Weeks - Chicken Pox

This week has not been fun for Princess. She got the Chicken Pox. Coach had been under a lot of stress and over Thanksgiving got a really painful rash (which we now realize was shingles). He is doing much better, but he passed on Chicken Pox to the baby.
She is pretty miserable. The little sores are all over her. If we keep a turtleneck onesie on and then a sleeper she doesn't try to scratch. But when it's time for a diaper change she wails. Poor thing. The first pox started on Sunday and they multiplied quickly.

She also has a cough, runny nose, and sores on her tongue and in her mouth. She will only sleep if she is being held and our usually content baby is so confused by her discomfort. She looks at us with these concerned big eyes begging for us to take it away. I have been in tears wishing I could help her more. We have tried oatmeal baths, and histamine blockers. pretty much it will just have to run it's course.

There are moments like above when she is still smiling and laughing. What a sweetheart! Luckily she should be all healed before Christmas.

39 Weeks and 9 months old

39 weeks- and 9 months old yesterday. WOW time is flying so fast!
She still loves my cell phone and tries to hold it as much as possible. I love to hold her and kiss her chubby cheeks.

Princess and her cousin were having fun eating green peppers. I tend to feed Princess mostly raw vegetables. She loves to hold and eat sugar snap peas, cucumber slices, and green peppers. Now that she has 4 teeth she get to eat a lot more of them also.

Fast asleep in Daddy's lap with green pepper on the chin...

Big news this week.... walking with the cart. This was at Grandma H's. It was her first time walking by herself. (well holding on to something) She did it really good of course when I wasn't filming then I spent the next 30 minutes trying to recreate it. This was the best footage we got. She is so grown-up.

Cousin E. is so fun to have has a friend. At this point they like to take each other's toys and pat each other in the face, but eventually I think they will really enjoy playing together since they are only 4 months apart.

38 Weeks

Princess is a bright eyed beauty. Her hair is getting a little more full, so that barrettes can stay in it (at least till she pulls them out.)
coach found her a nice cushy spot when we were at the carpet store.

Still loves playing with Starboy

Blocks are the new fun toy. Especially knocking them down when someone is trying to build something.

Starboy is practicing his camera skills. He took this picture of me and Princess. We love being a family. Happy Thanksgiving this week!

37 Weeks

37 weeks and so animated. Princess gets more personality everyday!

She loves to stand up even when it is not the sturdiest support. She will be walking before I blink I think. Her knew thing is trying to nurse and stand up at the same time. It makes feeding time quite interesting.

This is a beautiful robe sent to me by my parents who are on a mission in Hong Kong. When I was in the Peace Corps, my Mongolian name was Altentsetseg which means "golden flower" This robe made my mother think about that. THANKS MOM!

Today Princess experienced her first snowfall. Cousin S. was over doing her laundry. She was pretty happy out in the cold, even without socks.

New trick of the week. STAIRS! We have been practicing over the last couple weeks, and now she is getting more confident about it. She still won't turn around and go backward without help, but we are making progress.
SO BIG!

36 Weeks

36 Weeks Old ..the weeks seem to go faster and faster. Doesn't Princess look like a pretty Chinese doll. This beautiful dress was a gift from her Grandma and Grandpa who are in
Hong Kong. on a mission. She is just growing into it.

She is getting good at walking with help and sometimes will even stand by herself.

Princess has decided she doesn't want pieces of an apple, she wants the whole thing like mom, and brother. She often crawls over to our box of apples and picks one out for herself. If I start it, she will scrape the fruit out with her teeth. It is pretty cute.

I know this video is sideways, but I love watching her eat the whole apple. It's just too funny.

She loves to eat oat O's and Kamut puffs. These O's ended up lots of places, but not in her mouth.

She kept trying to pick another one up and put it in her mouth, but she would drop them, or push them out with her tongue.

When there were no more on the table, she tried to get the ones off her chin with her tongue.

Lately she likes to be what we call nakee-butt. After I take off her diaper and potty her, she will crawl away as fast as she can. She screams and cries about getting a new diaper on. It's pretty funny. Sometimes during the day I will just let her be for a few minutes. Eventually she will crawl over to me and we get the diaper on without so much of a fight.

She is a joy to us all.
