Saturday Fun!

Starboy had his first Baseball game today. His team is called the Wasatch Cougars. It is a first/second grade coach pitch team. He had a double hitter during the game!

This is his team and coach. The coaches are parents of another player. They have practice for

1 hr on Fridays after school and then games on Saturday. I think there is a lot more standing around than Starboy is used to. (Soccer, gymnastics, wrestling you are constantly moving)
He sure like to hit the ball though.

In the afternoon we all went to the park to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Now that Princess is bigger, this is her new favorite position in the Moby. She wants to see everything!

For Christmas Starboy got this remote control airplane. We finally got it out to fly. It did pretty good considering it was a clearance item. It goes for about 10 seconds before crashing. Coach and Starboy had a lot of fun flying it over the park.

After flying the plane, Starboy went and played in the water run off flowing through the park. It was a little breezy so he was chilled afterward, but he had fun doing cannon balls (jumping and landing on his backside) and splashing through the water. We enjoyed watching him from the top of the hill.

Babywearing

I love babywearing! Since my baby girl has been home my husband and I have traded off wearing her in either a ring sling (made by 2nd womb slings)http://secondwomb.blogspot.com/ and a homemade moby wrap. She loves being snuggled up close to us and usually falls fast asleep. The only problem is, now she doesn't want to be put down to sleep at night. We are co-sleeping with her. My husband slept with her on his chest the first 2 nights, I did the same the next, but I just didn't fall fast a sleep, I was to worried. So I tried to put her in her co-sleeper last night and she would have nothing with it. She wanted to eat, and be held. The second I put her down (even if wrapped tight like a burrito she would start squaking) I know she was just comfort nursing, but we nursed most of the night. I am still only using the football hold and cross cradle hold so the laying down nursing skill would be a great thing to learn at this point. Today I tried to have her nap in the co-sleeper a couple times to see if she could relax. The first time she cried, but the second time she rested for a good 2 hrs. So hopefully tonight will be better.

I love wearing her during the day, but if I don't sleep at night I think things will go downhill fast. Any ideas on how to wear her as much as possible during the day, but still teach her that night sleeping needs to be done not in my arms or at my breast?
