A Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend!
Friday night we went to a ward pizza party. They even had made a gluten free pizza that Starboy could have. He is on a gluten free diet for a month to see if it helps his stomachaches.

On Saturday we all participated in a Fun Run/Walk 5k for cysticfibrosis. Coach has a cross-country track team at his junior high. 10 of his students signed up for the race. Coach's brother brought his family also. Coach and his younger brother ran the 5k taking 4th and 5th (22 min 32 sec) out of 150 people. Starboy ran/walked the entire 3.2 miles which I was impressed with. Coach went back after he was finished and found starboy and encouraged him to keep going. He was pretty tired when he got to the end. Princess and I stayed with Our sister in-law and her two kids (2 yrs and 6 mths). We had a stroller and tried to push them, I was carrying princess in the Moby wrap. The weather was rainy and cold so it made for grumpy children. We ended up only going about 3/4 a We laughed the whole time. It's funny what you think will be a good idea but turns into a mess. We had to go back to the car after the race began to get a hat for the two yr old. Then at the park the 6mth old started to cry because she was hungry so, we ended up stopping in the park to nurse. By the time we were headed back on the course all the race people had left, so we just decided to head back to the car. We actually saw Coach and his brother finishing up the whole 5k as we came back to the parking lot. All well it was a good effort.

At the end of the race they had a raffle, and food. Banana's, bagles, oranges, etc.. were put out for everyone. I wished I could have the fruit and starboy wanted the breads. But we both stuck to our crazy diets. The race was put on by the local highschool track team. I didn't get any pictures, but we all had a good time. Even the little babies once they were in the car and warm were happy.

Saturday afternoon Starboy got to have friend over to play since he had done his chores so nicely. He has really been working on being respectful, polite, and honest. We have made HUGE improvements in these areas. Yesterday he even got a card and a treat from his primary teacher (delivered after church) thanking him for being reverent and listening when some of the other chldren were goofing off. This was such a blessing. I have been trying to help him understand that good behavior = more privlidges, and bad behavior = less privilidges. Usually if other kids are being disruptive he follows suit trying to fit in. I am so proud that he made a great choice and that he was then rewarded for it. He told me that his heart felt so good. Little Miracles!

Princess is officially two months old today. Time is racing by. Coach and I are so happy to be parents and feel so blessed. Even on the hard tired days to have these two miracles in our lives.
